Which U of T Plan Do You Have?

Your union or association determines your plan. All three are administered through Studentcare and insured by GreenShield:

  • UTSU: St. George full-time undergraduates. Health & Dental Plan through GreenShield.
  • UTGSU: Graduate students. Health & Dental Plan through GreenShield.
  • APUS: Part-time undergraduate students. Health & Dental Plan through GreenShield.

We’re a Proud Member of Student Dental Networks

Downtown Toronto Dentistry is an official provider in the Studentcare Dental Network. That membership lets us combine your GreenShield coverage with a network reduction to lower or erase your out-of-pocket cost on covered care. Just present your U of T student ID at your visit.

We’re at 438 Adelaide St E, in Corktown near St. Lawrence Market, in the downtown core, a short TTC ride from the St. George campus. The streetcar and subway both drop you close, and the office keeps evening and weekend hours for students.

Why Dental Health Matters for Students

Between deadlines and part-time shifts, it’s normal for students to postpone dental care. But unfortunately, we repeatedly see how a small problem turns into an expensive one.

Downtown Dental Clinic for U of T Students

A cavity caught early is a quick filling; ignored, it can become a root canal or an extraction that costs you time during exam season.
Your UTSU, UTGSU, or APUS plan already pays for preventive care, and as a network member, we bring that cost to $0 for covered exams and cleanings. Using the coverage you’re already paying for is the cheapest dental decision you’ll make all year.

Dental Care for University of Toronto Students at Downtown Toronto Dentistry

We offer direct GreenShield billing and have flexible hours. These two make dental visits much easier for students. Call to book around your class schedule.

Dental Services for U of T Students

Teeth Whitening

Brighten your smile with professional Zoom! whitening, faster and more even than any drugstore kit. Done in a single visit.

Invisalign

Straighten your teeth with clear, removable aligners instead of metal braces. They're nearly invisible for class and presentations, and you take them out to eat and brush.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Veneers and bonding to fix issues you dislike. We focus on natural-looking results that fit your face.

Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Wisdom teeth often come in sideways in your late teens and twenties. We assess and remove them in-office. Covered in part by your U of T plan.

Gum Grafting

Receding gums expose the roots of your teeth and cause sensitivity. Gum grafting restores that lost tissue and protects the tooth.

Bone Grafting

When bone has been lost, a bone graft rebuilds the foundation. This is a first step before a dental implant if you have bone loss.

Why Choose Us for Your Dental Needs?

No Coverage? You May Qualify for the CDCP

If you don’t have a U of T student plan, you may qualify for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), and we welcome CDCP patients here. See our CDCP Downtown Toronto page to check eligibility. Note that this route applies only if you’re NOT already covered by a UTSU, UTGSU, or APUS plan.
